Rescuers brought a Stokes basket and ropes along after the 10:30 a.m. mishap on North Monroe Street.

After they got him out through a window well, the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps rushed the 28-year-old worker to the trauma unit at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson.

He complained of pain in his back, leg and hand, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said.
